Take your mirrorless camera with you and support it with the Sirui Standard Series 4-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod Kit with Ultracompact Video Head, which is solid and compact while still providing a wide working height range. Sirui's ST-124 carbon fiber legs with extendable center column, as well as the VA-5 fluid head with spring-loaded counterbalance and fixed fluid pan and tilt drag, are included in the kit. The carbon fiber legs are corrosion resistant, even when exposed to seawater, so you may travel with them with confidence. For low-angle pictures, the legs have a reversible center column with a triangular design that allows the legs to be more compact when deflated than legs with a circular center column. The triangular shape also adds to the stiffness of the center column. The legs have three preset locking positions of 22, 55, and 85 degrees, allowing you to easily set up the tripod without using a spreader. The twist locks are simple to use when adjusting the individual leg height and create a waterproof seal when secured. The spin-down spikes on the rubber feet allow you to set up the legs on both hard and soft surfaces. The tripod's 3/8"-16 threaded screw is used to mount the head, which has a flat base with a 3/8"-16 threaded mounting hole. It incorporates independent pan and tilt locks and employs a fluid mechanism to deliver smooth pans and tilts for DSLRs and tiny video cameras weighing up to 6.6 lb. For smoother tilt motions with heavier cameras, it features an internal spring-assisted counterbalance system. To help balance your camera, a TY-70A quick release plate is supplied for forwarding/backward adjustment. When the primary locking mechanism is released, a dual safety lock system stops the plate and your camera from falling off the head. Simply push the secondary release button to release the plate. The head contains two bubble levels, one at the base to align the tripod and one at the top to align the camera, to aid in the horizontal alignment of your images. One panhandle is included in the package.
