To lock and unlock the leg, a special leg lock system requires only a 1/4-turn rotation. Steel claws, spikes, and other attachments can be substituted for the replaceable feet at the foot of each pod to provide the optimum traction for the terrain. One-piece shims are more durable and reliable than two-piece shims, requiring less maintenance and failure.
